A couple had recently moved into their new home in Hampton-in-Arden, Solihull. However, their child’s bedroom had been used as an office by the previous owners, this meant that they had to have the router and telephone located in the young child’s room, which was far from ideal.
We ran an unobtrusive white cable cable along the top of the skirting board in the bedroom, drilled a hole through the wall into the landing and relocated the telephone socket. As well as being well away from prying fingers it had the added bonus of the Wi-Fi signal being more evenly distributed as the router was now placed in the centre of the house.
