A lovely lady in Lichfield had inherited some dreadful DIY telephone wiring from the previous home owner. As you can see from the three photos below it was an absolute mess. As the lady was wishing to redecorate her home she was very keen to rid her home of it all and start again.
We rerouted the incoming phone line into the upstairs study and installed a new master phone socket with filtered faceplate in order to plug in the broadband router and telephone. We then ran an internal cable in a neat manner routing through cupboards to keep the cable as much out of site as possible for a new phone socket in the master bedroom. Finally we ran an external cable from the study to the lounge and installed a new socket.
The final job was to remove the various rats nests, including all the old cables and sockets. On completion this is the lovely feedback that we received from the lady:
Mike was here for over three hours and overhauled the entire telephone wiring in the house, including changing the entry point. He checked everything out and I am very pleased with the result. Score: 10/10.
