We were approached by a lovely gentleman and his wife who run a business based at their home in Lichfield. They had various fixed phones and some cordless phones dotted around their home, including the office. However they lacked the option of taking a call on one phone and then transferring it to another extension.
After taking into account all their requirements we came up with a cost effective solution of providing the versatility that they required. We installed a Panasonic KX-NS700 system which we located out of the way in the garage, then ran a 10-pair cable back to the loft space where the cables from the phone sockets around their home terminated.
We supplied two white system handsets, a Panasonic KX-DT543 and a KX-DT521 as they are more suited to a home environment than in business premises. We were able utilise the couple’s existing phones and connect them to as analogue extensions, which helped minimise the cost outlay. Voicemail and speed dials were added, with the facility to programme the names and numbers from a PC. Full training was then given to enable them to utilise all the features that they required.
