Damaged telephone cables are an all too often problem that we encounter where the cable have been laid under a carpet in an area where there is a lot of foot traffic.
Running a phone cable under a carpet around the perimeter of a room is fine but the problem arises when the cable is run across a doorway. As can be seen from the photograph that we took on one job, over a period of time the cable becomes compressed and the insulation becomes damaged resulting in the copper conductors of the cable shorting out.
At this stage all the telephone sockets in your home or office will cease working as your telephone line will be shorted out.
